Holden McDonald from Deshler works for a stand-up-escape during at Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament. McDonald wrestles as part of the Deshler-Superior cooperative wrestling program.
The Superior High School wrestling teams had three members compete at the state championship meet held at Omaha's CHI Center, Thursday through Saturday.
Holden McDonald earned six team points in the C126 pound weight bracket. He was eliminated in the third consolation round. He finished the season with a 46-11 record.
Kyler Boyles was awarded six team points for his efforts in the 175 pound weight bracket. He was also eliminated in the third consolation round. His season record was 45-13. The team score was good for 35th place in the 53 team field.
