A man accused of attempting to murder his mother is to be arranged Friday in Webster County Court.

On Jan. 18, deputies with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence located at 940 Webster Street in Red Cloud. A white male, 30 years old, identified as Clay Christensen, was arrested after his mother, the alleged victim, said he had attempted to asphyxiate her.

Christensen was transported to the Clay County Jail where he was held on a $500,000 cash bond....
