Commissioners order courthouse air quality study

 


The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the county courthouse in Nelson Monday.

The board approved a liquor license application for Meyer Vineyards, Inc., dba Superior Estates Winery. The new license will allow the winery to host events without obtaining designated licenses from the board.

The road department reported maintenance work was on schedule on county roads. The department had an opening for a maintainer operator.

The board accepted the resignation of Wes Beguin from his position as county veterans service officer.

The board approved the 2023 county weed evaluation from Nick Elledge, county weed superintendent and emergency director.

The board approved hiring a firm to conduct an air quality test in the courthouse.

The board opened the meeting for public comments regarding the future of the courthouse building. Several county residents presented their views.

The board will meet at 8:30 a.m., Monday, March 18, at the ccourthouse.
