Former Deweese resident, James "Jim" Nejezchleb, 95, died Friday, April 5, 2024, at Central Nebraska Veteran's Home, Kearney, Nebraska.

Rosary service was at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. with family present Tuesday, April 9, at the church. Memorial Mass was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Our Lady of Assumption in Deweese with Father Loras Grell officiating. Burial with military rites was at St. Martin's Cemetery near Deweese.
