Last Wednesday, the South Heartland Board of Health presented their annual public health awards to individuals who are furthering the work of public health. The presentation followed a board of health meeting held at the Hastings Public Library. Awardees included area school nurses in the health district. Megan McMeen, Superior, and Jaycee Schroer, Nelson, were awardees from the area.
