Arlen Sealock

Former Superior resident Arlen D. Sealock, 87, died March 10.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer, and Dorothy Sealock; his sister, Mary Jo Aurand; his brothers, Jim and Ton Sealock; and a stepdaughter, Christina Burrows.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; his children, Darren and Robyn Sealock; and stepchildren, Stephanie Burrows and John Bagley.

His funeral was Sunday at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hastings.

He was born in Hastings on March 8, 1937, and moved with family to Superior in 1945.

After high school he served with the U.S. Air Force and returned to Nebraska to follow in his father’s footsteps as a truck driver. He father encouraged him instead to take advantage of engineering opportunities afforded to him by his time in the Air Force.

He did so and worked for Philco, then Deneclor and finally Raython in their missiles systems division.

He returned to Hastings in 2010.
