Derek Nutter, 29, received his Kansas funeral director's license from the Kansas State Board of Mortuary Arts in January. Derek is the son of Bruce Nutter, owner of Kleppinger Funeral Home, Jewell. He has worked at the funeral home for several years.

"I'm proud to be continuing the family business with my father," Derek said. "Kleppinger Funeral Home will be caring for families in their time of need well into the future."
