Pat Kimminau 

 

     Patricia Ann Kimminau, the daughter of George and Francis (Karmazin) Drudik, was born on Feb. 21, 1938, in Lawrence, Nebraska. She died on March 30, 2024, at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home at Deshler, Nebraska, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, 9 days.

     Pat attended school in Lawrence and was a Lawrence High School graduate. In 1956, she was united in marriage to Vernon Herman Kimminau at Lawrence, Nebraska. To this union, six children were born. Shortly after their marriage, Vern enlisted into the United States Army. They moved to Colorado for about a year and then returned to the Lawrence area where they were engaged in farming until moving to Superior, Nebraska, in 1967. Together they owned and operated Pat & Vern's Bar and Tavern – birthplace of the infamous "Sauerkraut Pizza." 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vernon Kimminau on Feb. 7, 2021.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn Kimminau of Apache Junction, Arizona; Larry Kimminau of North Platte, Nebraska; Bonnie (Bruce) Mathison of Mesa, Arizona; Brittany Barbara (Steve) Franklin of Phoenix, Arizona; Father Barnard Kimminau of McCook, Nebraska; and Tom (Linda) Kimminau of Omaha, Nebraska. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Superior.

Clergy will be the Rev. Bernard Kimminau and the Rev. Ferdinand Boehme.

Visitation and rosary will be Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 4 to 7 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska.

Memorials can be directed in car of the family and sent to Megrue-Price Funeral Home.
