L-N track at Deshler

The Lawrence-Nelson boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Del Wicks Invitational at Deshler High School Thursday.

The girls team took seventh place, with 31 points, in the nine team field of Deshler, Meridian, Rock Hills, Thayer Central, Exeter-Milligan-Friend, Superior, Dorchester and Red Cloud. The boys team finished in eighth place with 13 points.

Natalie Wehrman, Addison McCloskey and Hadley Ostdiek competed in the preliminary heats of the 100 meter dash but failed to advance to the finals.

Wehrman and Brook Glebe ran the 200 meter dash preliminary heats.

Kynnedy Beale and Hadley Beale competed in the 400 meter dash.

K. Beale and H . Beale participated in the 800 meter run.

Jessica Sole claimed fourth place in the 1600 meter run with her time of 7:08.91. Sole picked up the third place points in the 3200 meter run with her time of 14:49.53.


Sydney Biltoft secure first place in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 15.57 seconds.

She topped the 300 meter hurdle field with her time of 51.42 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Biltoft, McCloskey, Hanna Skinner and Wehrman finished in seventh place with their time of 58.29 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Biltoft, K. Beale, Skinner and Sole held sixth place with their time of 5:.00.27.

Danyelle Church competed in the shot put.

Ostdiek and Church competed in the discus throw.

McCloskey, Skinner and Glebe competed in the long jump.

Ace Wulf, Jackson Williams and Caleb Griffis ran the preliminary 100 yard dash heats but failed to advance.


Wulf, Sawyer Cox and Brandt McLaughlin competed in the preliminary heats of the 200 meter dash.

Williams and Aaron Church competed in the 800 meter run.

Gus Harrison and A. Church took part in the 1600 meter run.

Leslie Corman was part of the 3200 meter run.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Aidan Zikmund, Cody Funk, Jace Hoelting and Williams picked up fifth place points with their time of 4:14.18.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Funk, Cox, Hoelting and Zikmund added fifth place points with their time of 10:11.52. Cox land in sixth place in the shot put with his toss of 36’11.5”. Harrison and McLaughlin also took part in the event.

Cox grabbed fourth place in the discus with his throw of 124’1”. Wulf and Griffis also competed.

Williams held fourth place in the triple jump with his combined distance of 37’11”. Zikmund earned the seventh place points with his total distance of 36’5”. Hoelting also competed.

The teams competed at the Superior Invitational Tuesday with meet results unavailable at press time.
