Della Rose (Sykes) Schiermeyer was born to the late George A. and Lulu (Wortman) Sykes Nov. 23, 1925, near Oak Nebraska. She died April 25, 2024.

On Dec. 1, 1946, she married Harvey E. Schiermeyer. To this union was born Leon, Lindell and Marilyn.

She was a homemaker and teacher. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of St. Joseph, Missouri, where she was active in Faith Circle.

Hobbies she enjoyed were china painting, square dancing, flower arranging and baking.
