News from Lost Needle Quilters

If you go through Nelson on Monday afternoons and wonder why all the cars are in front of the community center, it’s the Lost Needle Quilters hard at work. This quilting group started many years ago in the senior center building located on 4th Street west of Main Street, and is going strong today.

The current membership is 12 devoted hand quilters who enjoy what they do. However, quilting isn’t the only thing these women are involved in. There are church activities and community obligations in two communities, families to look after and enjoy, yard work and gardening, traveling, and all the members are excellent cooks and bakers as the afternoon lunch verifies! But if possible, Monday afternoons are reserved for getting together to quilt and share time together.

At the present time, three quilting projects are underway and five more large quilts are waiting their turn, with others in the process of being completed and then will be added to the list!

We enjoy what we do and are happy that we can donate to various community projects with the proceeds from our fun times together!
