Donald Eugene Fintel, the son of Gus and Rose (Wulf) Fintel, was born on March 5, 1932 in Deshler, Nebraska. He died on May 2, 2024, at the Superior Good Samaritan Society Home at Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 92 years, 1 month, 27 days.

Don attended Superior Public Schools. He married Rose I. Rogers on Jan. 9, 1952. Three children were born to this union. They divorced in 1991.
