RHHS track

The Rock Hills High School boys and girls track and field teams hosted the Grizzly Invitational at Mankato Friday.

The Rock Hills girls finished in sixth place, with 37 points, in the 14 team field of Washington County, Hanover, Smith Center, Republic County, Stockton, Osborne, Pike Valley, St. John's, Lakeside, Linn, Northern Valley, Tipton Catholic and Thunder Ridge. The boys were in seventh place with 28 points. Linn and Lakeside did not have boys teams which scored points.

Bethany Simmelink took third place in the girls 100 meter dash with her time of 13.83 seconds. Grace Ayers was in sixth place with her time of 14.54 seconds. Halle Mizner ran a preliminary heat but did not advance.

B. Simmelink was in fourth place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 27.71 seconds. Chloe Rothchild ran a preliminary heat.

Savannah Coil held fifth place in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:07.36. Rothchild ran a preliminary heat.

Hannah Simmelink listed a seventh place finish for the 800 meter run with her time of 2:43.3. Alivia Lindberg also competed.

Lindberg and Peyton Zadina competed in the 1600 meter run.

Zadina competed in the 3200 meter run.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Mizner, Coil, Ayers and B. Simmelink secured the second place points with their time of 53.36 seconds.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of B. Simmelink, Mizner, Lindberg and H. Simmelink claimed third place with their time of 11:02.91.

Faith Reinert and Jayce Cady competed in the shot put.

Carsyn Vizner, Reinert and Cady competed in the javelin throw. Cady took part in the discus throw.

Mizner was in second place in the high jump with her school record height of 5'2"

Coil listed fifth place in the triple jump with her combined distance of 31'2.5".

Isaiah Ridgeway was in fifth place in the 100 meter dash with his time of 12.47 seconds.

Ridgeway took second place in the 200 meter dash with his time of 24.46 seconds.

Spencer Lindberg grabbed fifth place in the 400 meter dash with his time of 57.55 seconds.

Cooper McDill secured second place in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:14:02.

Trystyn Reynolds listed sixth place in the 1600 meter run with his time of 5:13.92.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Reynolds, Justin Luong, Kobi Bowers and McDill caught third place with their time of 9:05.45.

Eli Whelchel, Aaron Underwood and Draiden Ault competed in the shot put.

Mason McMains, Aaron Underwood and Kaden Wulf competed in the discus throw,

Whelchel, McMains and Ridgeway participated in the javelin throw.

The Grizzlies compete at the Northern Plains League meet at Tescott today (Thursday).
