Carla Waugh, county clerk, will not seek re-election

After much consideration, I am announcing that I will not be seeking re-election for my position as Jewell County Clerk.

I am truly grateful for the support and experiences that I have received in my 43 years serving Jewell County with the last 28 years in the County Clerk’s Office and the first 15 years in the County Appraiser’s Office.

This certainly was not an easy decision to make, but I feel this is the ideal time to retire at the end of my term in January 2025.

I ask for your support in electing Myka Zadina as my successor. Myka has been training alongside me and is eagerly ready to take on the position of Jewell County Clerk with new ideas to keep the Jewell County Clerk’s and Election Office operating at its finest in this ever changing world.
