Helen J. Howland, the daughter of Marvin Boydston and Mary (Kinghorn) Boydston, was born May 5, 1939. in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She died on Feb. 7, 2024, at the Jewell County Hospital-ISB, Mankato, at the age of 84.
Helen lived on a farm in Pawnee County, Nebraska, until 1953. She then moved with her family to Formoso, Kansas, where she attended high school and met her husband, Clark Howland.
She was united in marriage to Clark Howland on April 8, 1955. To this union one son, Terry, was born.
