Photos from: Area residents share their snowy memories

It was Roy Alcorn's turn to walk the downtown Superior mail route Monday. As normal, he organized the mail inside the leather bags hanging from a mobile mail cart which on dry days is easily pushed. But Monday, he had gone just a few blocks, when he reported, "This is too much work for an old man." Snow hampered his path at every turn. His choice was to carry the mail on his back or push the cart. As snowfall continued to increase, the challenge of delivering mail for all area postal workers also increased as the day progressed. Much of the area received around 10 inches of snow. This photograph was taken mid-morning Monday.
