BMH unveils new video this week

September 24, 2020

Brodstone Memorial Hospital in partnership with Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation launched a new promo video this week. The video detailed the cause of the 2020 Harvest Moon Gala, the past successes of the hospital and foundation and the future plans for the Brodstone Healing Garden.

Because of the incredible support from donors near and far over the past few years, the administration of chemotherapy at Brodstone has become a reality. In the near future, patients will receive their treatments in state of the art infusion suites as part of the Brodstone construction project.

This year the committee turned the focus of their fundraising efforts to the future healing garden. The garden will be located outside of the infusion suites and will be easily accessible to those receiving their treatment in the suites. Planners expect the garden to be a tranquil place of renewal and healing for patients and visitors alike. Families visiting hospitalized loved ones will be able to get fresh air in the garden, new parents can take a stroll with their added bundle of joy during their stay, patients recovering from injury or surgery will benefit from the open-air environment and community members will have a place of peace and calming to gather.

Though the development will be a part of the “new” construction planned for the hospital, the garden will be paved in history.

The video can be viewed on the Brodstone Memorial Hospital’s Facebook page, the hospital’s Youtube Channel or at http://www.bidpal.net/hmg2020.

Gala tickets also went on sale this week as well. Committee members are selling both the Superior Outdoor Power Package tickets and the new Merry Maids Year of Cleaning Package. Tickets are on sale until Oct. 3 and winners will be announced at 7 p.m. that evening online.

Superior Bowl will be serving a Harvest Moon Special on Saturday, Oct. 3, which will include: prime rib, scalloped potatoes, corn, dinner roll and a specialty dessert. All will be made available to-go and with the convenience ofcurbside pickup. Reservations for the to-go meal are required with a limited number available. Orders must be placed with Superior Bowl by Monday. The prime rib meal will be sold for $30 with a portion of the proceeds going to the BMH Foundation Harvest Moon Gala.
