The Lady Cat volleyball team traveled to Sutton to take on the Fillies on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The first two sets were close with Superior High School winning set one and Sutton taking set two. In match three, the Lady Cats won easily. Set four was a closer match.

Statistics were 25-22; 23-25; 25-16 and 25-21.

Cailyn Barry: three kills of 17 spike attempts; three aces of 21 serve attempts; four blocks; three digs and one set.

Alexa Cox: six spike attempts; one dig; one assist and one set.

Sierra Blackburn: one kill of nine spike attempts; two ace serves of 20 attempts; 10 digs; 17 assists or 65 sets.

Ella Gardner: two kills of seven spike attempts; three blocks; nine digs, one ace serve of 15 serve attempts; three assists of 42 sets; three serve receives.

Emma Henderson: three kills of 14 spike attempts; five digs.

Shayla Meyer: 24 kills of 48 spike attempts; five ace serves of 14 attempts; eight blocks; 17 digs; one set; 18 serve receives.

Atlee Kobza: two spike attempts; 13 serve attempts; 12 digs; three sets; 24 serve receives.

Madison Heusinkvelt: four serve attempts.

The JV team also played a hard fought match. The Cats won the first set relatively easily, but then got down 8-15 in the second set. The team fought hard to make an incredible comeback and ended up fighting their way back for a two set sweep.
