VFW Auxiliary 7830 has announced a national anthem singing contest, Get Excited for the Red, White and Blue. Contestants, age 6 to 16, must submit a video of their solo vocal performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The video must be saved to a DVD or flash drive and submitted to the local auxiliary for judging. The video must be recorded before March 31. Local entries will be judged and forwarded to district. The district winner will be forwarded to state and the state winner will be forwarded to national competition for a chance at a $1,000 Visa gift card.
