Troopers from the Nebraska State patrol were on scene with deputies from Nuckolls and Webster counties to assist with traffic control, Thursday afternoon, when a large prairie fire driven by high winds closed Highway 78 and Highway 36 to traffic. Multiple volunteer fire department responded to fight the blaze while farmer worked fire breaks with their tractors and discs. Photo from law enforcement.
