Mankato Land Bank has exciting news

The Mankato Land Bank has exciting news. The first Mankato Land Bank property is up for bid! All properties in the Mankato Land Bank will need to be applied for by making an application to the Mankato City Office. Applications will then be evaluated by the land bank board against other applications received. Properties must be bought out of the Land Bank at fair market value.

The lot is at 123 North West Street, Mankato. This lot has a great location near the Rock Hills Grade School and the Mankato City Park. For the full legal description and for an application to inquire about purchasing this property, contact the Mankato City Office at 217 S. High Street, Mankato, Kan. 66956 or call 785-378-3141.

People with a property they would like to consider for donation to the Mankato Land Bank are to contact the Mankato City Office for a donation application as well. This might be the perfect solution for a property a person can no longer maintain, for a tax write off, or as a way to help the community by cleaning up blight and getting living options on the market for new residents.
