RHHS track sending three to Kansas State track meet

 

Lauren Whelchel qualified for the state track and field meet at Wichita Saturday in the high jump and the pole vault.

Rock Hills High School hosted a regional Class 1 A track and field meet at Mankato Friday. The Grizzlies girls team finished 13th, with 12 points, in the 23 team field. The boys finished in 13th place, with 20 points, in the 25 team field.

Athletes were competing for berths at the state meet. Rock Hills is sending three athletes to the meet.

Grant Meyers qualified for the state meet with his first place finish in the pole vault. He cleared the bar at 12'.

Jerrod Gillett punched his ticket to the state meet with his first place performance in the long jump. His leap covered 21'8".
