Softball season comes to the end

In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Softball season in Nebraska did take place. The pandemic did have an effect on the summer program, but all-in-all, the season was successful. Manager Dick Kohmetscher noted they played only 13 games this year and there was no state tournament action for the local girls. Dick was assisted this year by Ben Burris, Mike Skinner and Dustin Cassell.

Many of the surrounding towns did not attempt to sponsor teams this year. If you noticed the names under the picture, the Lawrence team had girls from around a large area, not just the Lawrence and Nelson...
