Corn Picking Days – 2021

This 2020 Corn Picking Days photo shows Jeremy Bledsoe, Jewell, heading in to unload a wagon of corn he has just picked with a one-row corn picker. The 2021 event will be on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14, on H Ave. just west of Jewell. The event starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m. Machines and spectators are welcome.
The 2021 Corn Picking Days are just around the corner. Hosts, Calvin and Peg Bohnert (Jewell: 785-738-7589) and JR Vandergiesen (Smith Center : 785-282-0591) are the ones to call for information about harvesting corn like it was done in "The Good Old Days"!
Corn Picking Days will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13 and 14, on H Avenue at the northwest corner of Jewell. You will find corn, tractors, one row pickers, trailers and maybe a two-row picker just a quarter of a mile west of Highway 14.
