A common reply to a number of emergencies is: “I don’t care what they do . . . just do something!”

I think I may have said something like that at times, but I hope not as each situation is different to some extent and needs to be handled accordingly.

COVID-19 (and all its variants) is different, but it seems that a lot of people in charge are “just doing something.”

In the past few weeks, the new variant (Omicron) has received the bulk of the daily news from the national media and to be frank . . . I am confused by the news.
