The Superior High School wrestling team competed at the Thayer Central Invitational, in Hebron, Friday. Superior finished in third place, with 126 points, in the 14 team field. Other teams participating at the invitational were Thayer Central, Red Cloud-Blue Hill. Tri County, Wilber-Clatonia, Shelton, Republic County-Belleville, Freeman, Meridian, Osborne, Southern, Friend, Dorchester and Cedar Bluffs.

Holden MacDonald took fourth place in the 106 pound weight bracket. He earned six team points.

Brett Miller and Cole Rughe were in the 113 pound weight bracket.

Dominique Baumbach competed at the 120 pound weight level.

Hayden Neeman took first place in the 126 pound weight bracket. He was awarded 22 team points for his win.

Aaron Allgood took third place in the 145 pound weight bracket. He earned 10 team points.

Tyler Everhart secured the 21 first place team points for Superior in the 152 pound weight bracket.

Jordan Brown notched a first place win in the 170 pound weight bracket. He was awarded 21 team points.

Angel Morgan wrestled at the 182 pound weight level.

Christian Osweiler finished sixth in the 220 pound weight bracket.

Henry Griljava picked up a fourth place finish in the 220 pound weight bracket.

Anders Webber was awarded 24 team points for his first place finish in the 220 pound weight bracket.

Payton Christiancy earned the 22 first place points in the 285 pound weight bracket.

The Wildcats compete at the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament at Fillmore Central High School in Geneva, Friday. First match is scheduled for 9 a.m.
