I enjoy passing along little bits of information I find interesting and hope someone else does as well.

Reading the Sunday paper of the Lincoln Journal-Star, I read a story about the city of Omaha using “goats” to clear an area near the Missouri River of brush and weeds. It was an interesting little story and presented to the readers as something quite different and unique.

This isn’t to criticize the writer, or the story, but using goats to clear land is not new, nor unique. Goats have been used for years for such tasks and continue to be so used today. In fact the Department of Ag...
