The Bruning-Davenport -Shickley volleyball team came home with the third place trophy from the state championhip Class D1 tournament at Lincoln, Saturday.

The Eagles won their opening match, against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, 25-27, 25-19, 25-22, 25-27 and 15-7, Thursday. B-D-S was the fourth seed while S-E-M was seeded fifth. The win sent the Eagles into the semi-final match against number one seed Norfolk Catholic Friday. B-D-S fell in four sets to the Knights, 25-20, 15-25, 20-25 and 22-25.
