Sandra Pedersen, the daughter of Eugene and Beverly Secrest, was born on Sept. 11, 1968, in Huntington Park, California. She died April 19, 2023, at her home in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 54 years, 7 months, 8 days.

She enjoyed gardening and canning pickles. She liked the outdoors which included camping and fishing. Sandra worked for many years at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior and other nursing homes.

Family was dear to Sandra. She loved spending time with them especially taco night. During her lifetime, she lived in the communities of Davenport, Hardy, Superior and Nelson.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Mathew Pedersen; her brother, John; and her sister, Renae.

She is survived by her children, Chris Franssen, Jack Franssen, Shane Pedersen, Amber Pedersen and Faith Pedersen; six grandchildren, John, Cara, Jaxon, Aiyden, Jordan and Lincoln; and her siblings, Rick Secrest, Tami Secrest Fisher and Teri Secrest; other relatives and a host of friends.

Her funeral was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Mike Sander officiating.

Music was "Dream On" by John Franssen.
