Tonya Anson

Tonya Rene Anson was born to Allen and Phyllis (Campbell) Anson, on July 2, 1970. she passed from this earthly abode Sunday, Aug. 13, at the age of 53 years, one month and 11 days.

Tonya graduated from Selkirk High School, Ione, Washington. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Fort Hays State University, in 2016.

Tonya moved to Nebraska more than 20 years ago. She had been a registered nurse in the Denver area for several years previously.

Tonya wrote an engaging column for The Superior Expres for several years. She recounted life on the farm with her children. Her columns were later published in book form.

Tonya was an accomplished musician who played the piano and guitar. Music, art and her children were her comforts in life.

Tonya is survived by her husband, Martin (Marty) Pohlman, Superior; daughter, Lyndsie, St. Joesph, Missouri; and son. Sam and his fiance, Ali Guinan, Omaha.

She had one grandchild, Dexter.

Left to mourn her passing are her parents, Allen and Phyllis Anson, Red Cloud; half brothers, Robert and Rodney Gericke and Allen Anson; and half-sister, Elizabeth Anson.

She was preceded in death by half-brothers, Russel and Edward Gericke.

Tonya was cremated. There will be a private celebration of her life at a later date.

It is with a fervent hope that she has finally found the peace she sought and there are many, many dogs there.
