Looking for things to do nearby this spooky season, I found a few and thoughts I would share.

If you’re into haunted houses, but don’t want to travel to the big city, the Chester Community Club puts together a creepy, spooky and fun event. This year’s theme is Hollywood Horror, and you can visit this at the Chester Odditorium from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for a small fee.

If Trunk or Treat is your thing, stop in Nelson, Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. The Nelson Legion and friends will be ready for trick or treaters followed by Family Movie Night at the library starting...
