Larry Dale Persinger was born on Feb. 17, 1953, in Superior, Nebraska, to Wesley N. and Evelyn (Mahan) Persinger. He died Jan. 10, 2024, at his home in Belleville, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 24 days.
Larry attended school in Superior, and worked various jobs in the Hutchinson, Kansas, area, including detailing cars for Shep Chevrolet in Haven, until he returned to Belleville. He also enjoyed working in landscaping and lawn care and listening to country music.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Persinger and Evelyn Hanel; sister, Shirley Diane Howe; brothers, Lynn Persinger, Wesley “Corky” Persinger, and Faylon Persinger.
He is survived by his brother, Gene Persinger and his wife, Willeta, of Hutchinson; sister, Lyndal Frybarger and her husband, Donald, of Belleville; many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A private family service will be held later in the spring at Union Valley Cemetery, rural Scandia.
Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home is assisting Larry’s family with the arrangements.
