The Jewell County Commissioners met April 8. Commissioners Ed Duskie, and Brent Beck, and Carla Waugh, county clerk, were present for the meeting.

Mike Nyhoff, Wil Browers and Roy Debey, from the Dispatch Reform Church area, discussed the condition of a 2-mile stretch of 10 Road A.K.A. Dispatch Road. They said it is a high traffic road with potholes and ruts, along with thin spots. They reported the retaining wall is deteriorating on the bridge at the county line south of Dispatch.
