Leon D. Hughes, 77, of Mankato, died May 4.

Leon’s wishes were to be cremated, and his cremated remains to be buried at the Nebraska Veteran’s Cemetery near Alliance, Nebraska, at a later date.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8p.m., at Melby Mortuary.

Memorials are requested to Jewell County EMS or the Jewell County Hospital, and may be sent to Melby Mortuary, PO Box 384, Mankato, Kansas, 66956.
