L-N Golfers are state meet qualifiers for 2024

 

This could be a habit everyone can enjoy. The Lawrence-Nelson High School varsity golfers proudly display the district championship plaque after winning the Class D-1 golf tournament in Grand Island Monday. The state bound Raiders are from the left; Clay Williams, Carson Vaughn, Connor Janda, Beyln Bargen and Jacob Kathman, standing with coach Jerad Niederklein.

"What a difference a day makes" is an old saying. In this case, maybe it was about two weeks that made a difference.

Back on May 2, the L-N Raiders won the TVC tourney by one stroke.

Now, on May 13, the 2024 District D-1 golf tournament was won in Grand Island . . . by two strokes.

Ya, the Raiders won the district title outright by two strokes. The team came in with a score of 350 according to Coach Jerad Niederklein. The team, mostly seniors consisted of: Connor Janda who had an 83, Jacob Kathman 84, Bayln Bargen 90, Carson Vaughn 93 and Clay Williams 93.
