An enjoyable trip to Glen Elder

Last Thursday Lyndell Hanson met Mike Louthan in Glen Elder, to purchase a used chain hoist. Louthan purchased Glen Elder school in December and is in the process of remodeling it to become his new residence. He hope to eventually sell his house and property in Beloit.
I made a road trip to Glen Elder last Thursday to meet with Mike Louthan to purchase a used chain hoist. The road trip began at Mount Hope Cemetery heading south on 150 Road .
On my journey. I decided to take a slight detour at J Road heading west just to see the Jewell State Fishing Lake. The water level is about the same as last November. It's always fun to watch the ducks swimming, diving and playing their silly games.
Back tracking to 150 Road, I continued south toward Glen Elder. A flock of geese was flying over a stubble field that a farmer hadn't shut cattle in. It was a pleasure seeing nature and farm production in progress.
After arriving at Glen Elder, we met at the Lakeside Elementary School which is now closed. When I arrived, I noticed there was activity going on outside and inside of the building. Mike showed me what was going on.

Yes, I purchased the chain hoist.
