Phyllis June Armstrong Vann, 76, died Monday in Woodburn, Ore. She was born June 22, 1943, in Guide Rock.

Phyllis and her daughter, Cheri, moved from Superior to Oregon in 1976. After working as a seamstress making sports equipment, she retired in 2008. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law for the last nine years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vann; her parents, Willis and Nora Armstrong; her sister, Dorothy Young; her brother, Roger Armstrong; and her nephew, Michael Young.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheri Grim of Woodburn Ore.; two grandsons, Eric Grim of Port Orford, Ore., and Adam Grim of Canby Ore.; a sister, Sheila Korb of Superior; son-in-law, Thomas Jennings Jr., of Woodburn Ore.; and 15 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date when the pandemic crisis allows.

She will be buried in the Guide Rock Cemetery at a date to be determined.
