The Lawrence-Nelson girls basketball team has hit a rough patch. The team has lost their last three games. The streak began last Tuesday when they fell to the Rock Hills Grizzlies 46-38 at Mankato. The Kenesaw Blue Devils took down the Raiders 55-32 at Nelson Friday. Their woes continued Saturday when their trip to Axtell resulted in a 48-27 loss to the Wildcats. The Raiders hosted the Deshler Dragons at nelson Tuesday with game results unavailable at press time.

Rock Hills took the lead and never looked back in last Tuesday's game. Lawrence-Nelson trailed 16-10 at the half and was unable to mount a sustainable comeback attempt as they fell 46-38.

The Raiders were hot on offense in the first two quarters against Kenesaw taking a 27-23 lead into the half. The third and fourth quarters were ice cold for the Raiders as they were out scored 32-5. The Blue Devils returned to Kenesaw with a 55-32 win.

Axtell shut down the Raiders early limiting them to 14 points over three quartets of play. The Wildcats put up 40 points over the same time frame. The result was a 48-27 loss for Lawrence-Nelson, their third consecutive defeat.

Emily Miller pumped through 18 points for Lawrence-nelson against Rock Hills. Katelyn Mazour added 10 points. Emma Epley and Aleah Heikkinen put up four points each. Avery Mazour kicked in two points. Miller topped the rebounding list with 11. Epley grabbed nine rebounds. Heikkinen snagged six rebounds. A. Mazour landed five rebounds. Elsa Jorgensen and K. Mazour picked up two rebounds apiece.

K. Mazour scored nine points against Kenesaw. Jorgensen and E. Miller contributed eight points each. Heikkinen finished the game with two points. E, Miller picked up seven rebounds. K. Mazour nailed down six rebounds. Epley and Heikkinen held on to three rebounds each. Epley, Jorgensen and A. Mazour landed two rebounds each. Sydney Biltoft and Alex Miller grabbed a rebound apiece.

Epley led the Raider scoring against Axtell with 10 points. E. Miller posted nine points. A. Mazour scored seven points. K. Mazour hit a free throw for one point. Epley snared nine rebounds for the Raiders. E. Miller picked off eight rebounds. McKenzie Ostdiek elbowed her way to seven rebounds. Heikkinen produced six rebounds. A. Mazour registered four rebounds. Emily Troudt snagged two rebounds.

The Raiders host Diller-Odell at Nelson today (Thursday). Parkview Christian comes to Nelson for a game Friday. Blue Hill is the opponent at Nelson Tuesday.
