SVFD reponds to false fire alarms

Members of the Superior Volunteer Fire Department responded to two fire calls Monday morning. Fortunately, the calls to a residence on East Third Street did not result in property damage.
In both instances failing batteries triggered the alarms. The batteries were replaced and everyone took a deep breath, thankful to not have had to deal with fires in below zero weather.
The cold weather has also contributed to automatic alarms being triggered in public buildings.
