Kenneth Huber, Jr.

Kenneth L. Huber Jr, son of Kenneth L. Huber Sr. and Madalene L. (Weir) Huber was born Oct. 9, 1946, at Concordia, Kan. He died Aug. 11, at his home in Formoso, Kan., at the age of 74.

He was a crane operator and construction supervisor for Reece Construction Company and also worked for the State of Kansas Department of Transportation.  He was united in marriage to Rebecca Jo Mohler on June 4, 1963, and to this union three children were born: Jerry, Judy and Janet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Madalene Huber; wife, Rebecca Jo Huber; father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Ada Mohler; two sisters, Patricia McFarlane and Gloria Jean Guzik; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Ann Massey and Iris Mae Mohler; and brother-in-law, Michael Mohler.

He was a man of great humor. He liked to make everyone laugh, had a heart of gold. He loved the mountains.

He is survived by one son, Jerry (Erlyn) Huber of Formoso; two daughters, Judy Yvonne Huber of Blue Springs, Mo. and Janet (Dan) Higer of Mankato; “adopted daughter” Shelly Davis (Michael) of Mankato; one sister, Nancy Sue Holland; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Bret (Arianne) Engel, Madi and Kason of Wamego, Kan., Heather (Heath) Woodall, Corbyn and Paisley, Sammi (Estevan) Maturino, Chloe and Pru, all of Carthage, Mo., Travis Novak of Lost Springs, Kan., Tycen and Mason Higer of Mankato, Amanda (Matt) Cudney, Lilah and Archer of Spokane, Wash., and Nick Higer of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Cremation was chosen.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Balch Cemetery, Formoso.

Memorials may be given to the Solomon Valley Hospice or Jewell County Friendship Meals.
