Raider Football makes State Playoffs for 21st time

One of two seniors on the 2021 team, Wyatt Brockman is a valued member of the defensive effort this year as Wyatt experienced several injuries throughout his High School years. Above he brings down a Bruning-Davenport-Shickley runner.
The newspaper has mentioned before what tough schedules the NSAA arranges for the L-N Raider Football Team year after year. 2021 was no difference and the Raiders had a little trouble during the year matching up with their hopes and expectations.
The Raiders (and neighboring Blue Hill) are the only D-2 teams that faced two 8-0 teams this season. In addition L-N faced one 7-1 team and one 5-3 team.
The Class D-2 State Playoff team is made up with 12 district winners and 20 'wildcard' team for a total of 32 teams. There are 52 Class D-2 teams in the state. The 32 teams are put into an East...
