L-N Volleyball team wins first Sub-District game

Timing is the key.
They say it is hard to beat any team three times in a season and we’ve seen plenty of examples of that over the years. However, we get a whole new chance this year.
The Class D-2 Sub-District tournaments began Monday evening and L-N played and defeated Wilcox-Hildreth 3-0.
The 4-team tournament had Silver Lake as the No. 1 team and they played the No. 4 seed, Franklin.
Well, Franklin defeated Silver Lake and the L-N Raiders get to play Franklin Tuesday night for the Sub-District championship. And . . . guess what . . . it is the third game against Franklin this year, and L-N won the other two.
The game will be over before this issue of the newspaper is printed, so we’ll wait to see what happens.
Because of the timing, we do not have the statistics of the Wilcox-Hildreth game.
