John Edward Guilkey, the son of Edward and Garnet (Nicholls) Guilkey was born on Aug. 5, 1933, in Kenesaw. He died Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior at the age of 88 years, 2 months, 24 days.
John graduated from Kenesaw High School with the Class of 1952. He served in the 439th Engineers Battalion in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1954.
