The Beloit High School wrestling team opened their season Thursday with a match at Phillipsburg with Plainville and Phillipsburg. Three Rock Hills High School student athletes, Coe Nielson, Connor Cosand and Jacob Barry, wrestle with Beloit during the regular season as part of a cooperative program. Beloit hosted Abilene Friday. The Beloit Tigers competed at the inaugural Railer round robin tournament held at Ellis High School, Ellis, Saturday. Beloit competed against Republic County at Belleville Thursday.

Barry, Cosand and Nielson all won their Plainville matches by forfeit.

Barry won at Phillipsburg by fall. Cosand and Nielson both lost by falls.

Nielson won his match by a pin in the Abilene match. Cosand lost his match against Abilene

Nielson took first place in the 106 pound weight bracket at the Railer. He earned 23 team points.

Conner Cosand took second place honors in the 126 pound weight bracket. He earned 16 team points.

Conner Cosand won a 7-5 decision at Republic County. Coe Nielson and Jacob Barry both lost their matches by a fall.
