Leonard P. "Pee Wee" Royer, the son of Glenn Earl Royer and Viola Marie "Dot" (Pritts) Royer, was born Jan. 5, 1930, in Daykin, Neb. He died Jan. 12, 2022, at the age of 92 years, 7 days.

Leonard grew up in Daykin and Davenport, Neb. He moved with his family at an early age to Republic, Kan. He graduated from Republic High School in 1948.

Following his schooling, he began work at Jim Lewis Motors in Belleville, Kan., as a mechanic. He attended and graduated from refrigeration trade school in Dayton, Ohio. He returned to Jim Lewis Motors to repair and service car air conditioners. Leona...
