The Rock Hills High School girls basketball team dropped another two games. They fell to Sylvan-Lucas 43-28, at Mankato, last Tuesday. A trip to Downs, Friday, resulted in a 49-30 loss to Lakeside.

Sylvan-Lucas leapt out to a 28-17 lead after two quarters and was never challenged by Rock Hills.

Lakeside dominated the Grizzlies over the first two quarters of play, building up a 27-12 halftime lead. They cruised their way to a 49-30 win to leave Rock Hills with a 7-8 record.

The Grizzlies played Natoma, at Natoma, Tuesday, with game results unavailable at press time.

Lauren Whelchel led Rock Hills with 18 points against Sylvan-Lucas. Avery Brown dropped through seven points. Danica Frost hit for three points. Whelchel landed six rebounds. Selena Luong and Caitlyn Scarrow hit the boards for five rebounds each. Brown pulled down four rebounds. Raylynn Anderes and Frost nabbed one rebound apiece.

Whelchel hit for 14 points against Lakeside Frost netted six points. Scarrow posted four points. Brown, Luong and Hannah Simmelink scored two points each. Whelchel muscled her way to nine rebounds. Brown was good for five rebounds. Scarrow donated three rebounds. Anderes, Frost and Luong each nailed down two rebounds.

Rock Hills travels to Lincoln Friday. Southern Cloud visits Rock Hills at Mankato Tuesday.
