Erna Clara Firley, 89, of Seward, died April 8, at Ridgewood Rehab in Seward. Erna was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Deshler to Friedrich Wilhelm and Ingeborg (Pederson) Kassebaum.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Nisley of Lincoln, Neb., and sons, Bradley Firley of Deshler, Michael Firley of Hillsdale, and Craig Firley of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral was held at Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Deshler, on Wednesday, April 13. Inurnment was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Deshler.
