John Roger Vergo, 84, a former Superior resident and Security National Bank officer, died April 17, 2022, Easter Sunday, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was born Oct. 27, 1937, in Chapman, Neb., to John and Nell Vergo. He is survived by his brother, Ron (Marcia) Vergo; Lois Fullington; his children, Tami (Kenny) Nielsen, John (Dolores) Vergo and Steven (Kathie) Vergo; grandchildren, Jason (Jaime) Cipriani, Justin (Tiffney) Cipriani, John Ray (Michelle) Vergo , Tarah (Chris) Ruff, Tanya Vergo, Kayleigh (Jess) Marquez and Steven Ross (Ashley) Vergo; great-grandchildren, Bellina, Logan and William Cipriani, Jeremiah and Marissa Vergo, Margot Ruff, Aela Marquez and Louis Vergo.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Clarence Vergo.

In his younger years Roger spent a lot of time outdoors water skiing, snow skiing and hunting. In recent years he enjoyed time at his ranch in Westcliffe, Colo.
