L-N boys golf off to state match

 


The Lawrence-Nelson boys golf team took to the Franklin Golf Course in Franklin Monday for the 18-hole Class D-1 state qualifying match.

The Raiders came home with a second place play-off finish and three top 10 individual medals.

Lawrence-Nelson finished tied with Thayer Central in second place with a team score of 373. The tie forced a one-hole playoff to determine which team would claim the honor of second place. The first three teams qualify for the state match so nothing was at stake but school pride and bragging rights. The four lowest scorers from each team played the extra hole....
