L-N volleyball splits a pair at Kenesaw

The Lawrence-Nelson volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Kenesaw triangular match last Tuesday. The Raiders were swept in two set, 25-22 and 25-12, by host Kenesaw. The Raiders then downed the Red Cloud Warriors in two sets, 25-18 and 25-11 for a 10-13 season record. The Raiders hosted the Blue Hill Bobcats at Nelson Tuesday with match results unavailable at press time.

Kara Menke led the Raider kill list against Kenesaw with six. Hanna Skinner notched four kills. Sydney Biltoft added three kills. Katelyn Mazour had a kill. Biltoft and Menke slashed through two aces each. Mazour and Emily Troudt each scored with an ace.

Mazour, Menke and Skinner picked up six digs each. Addi McCloskey came through with four digs. Jessica Sole and troudt collected two digs apiece. Biltoft and Claire Himmelberg each had a dig.

Skinner landed five kills against Red Cloud. Himmelberg and Mazour were good for four kills each. Biltoft and Troudt netted three kills each. Menke and Troudt each scored with an ace. Mazour popped up 13 digs for the Raiders. Menke lifted up six digs. Skinner handled five digs. Himmelberg and Sole checked out with four digs each. McCloskey had two digs.

The Raiders travel to Polk today (Thursday) for a triangular match with host Heartland Community and Bruning-Davenport-Shickley. Lawrence-Nelson concludes their regular season schedule Tuesday with a match at Franklin.
